STRANGER OF THE NIGHT

He strolled around

looking for nothing in particular, just an old habit.

And then he saw what his eyes couldn’t believe…

 A beautiful damsel

She had braved the cold night to watch the night dancers’ rhythm out

Her cropped hair shone brightly under the moonlit and her lips,

perfectly sculpted looked delicious

And when she smiled, his heart somersaulted twice

He contemplated for a second what to do; pacing up and down. But courage eluded him

And then it happened…

She was coming towards him with a smile

His heart started to pump twenty-two litre of blood

His pulse raced a thousand-and-one mile ahead

His temperature rose to a thousand degrees

He cleared his throat a hundred-and-one time … and he smiled

But she walked straight past him into the darkness

And she became a stranger of the night only to be resurrected in his dreams.

Days turned into months

 months into years

every night at the same time he would

stand at the same corner hoping to see her

A stranger of the night
